If you have Racor filters with T-handles on top, it is very easy to install a vacu- um gauge with an RK19671 Vacuum Gauge Kit. The fil- ter should be changed when the vacuum reaches 7-to- 10 inches of mercury. The gauge can save a great deal of money because you only need to change filters when they are dirty.

Note: When running vacuum gauge rubber hose, remember that the longer (over 20’) the length of hose used, the longer it takes for the gauge to register an accurate reading (due to the area of hose to fill with vacuum. Therefore, rigid plastic tubing is recommended for greater lengths.
