Made of fiber-reinforced polycarbonate, 1/2" diameter brass termi- nal connections and has an alternator field disconnect which pre- vents damage to the alternator if switch is accidentally turned “OFF" while engine is running. Use with systems under 50 Volts. Size: 5-1/4" square x 3-3/8" deep. Fig. 9703P is the same as our 8603 Series, except it is offered as a main disconnect switch with a higher capacity rating. Ignition protected.
For use with two or more batteries. Permits selection between batter- ies for starting and charging or operations of both batteries in parallel. “OFF" position also acts as an emergency disconnect. Fig. 8503 has a Field Disconnect Feature which permits inadvertent switching to the “OFF"’ position even if the engine is running, without damage to the alternator. Surface mount with red plastic housing. For use with systems under 50 Volts. Diameters are: 5-1/4" x 2-5/8" deep. Ignition protected.
