The Jabsco 18220-1127 is a Ballast Puppy flexible impel- ler wakeboard towboat bal- last pump with a yellow Polyeurethane Impeller, Lip Type seal, 1/2 Inch NPT and 1 Inch External Hose Barb Ports, coupled to a 12 Volt DC Motor. These pumps can deliv-
er almost 80 pounds (10 gallons) of water ballast per minute. With a flow rate of 9 GPM (34 LPM), it can quickly add up to 80 pounds (40 kgs) of water per minute to ballast tank systems. The Pump ports have external 1 Inch hose barb and internal 1/2 Inch pipe threads. The motor on this pump is equipped with a Run-Dry Protection Device, and is a 12 Volt DC, Permanent Magnet Type, Fully Enclosed, with a Stainless Steel Shaft, and Ball Type Shaft Bearing. The pump cannot run against a closed outlet as may be encountered when installed in systems with valves to regulate flow. Pressure for normal operation should not exceed 20 feet of head (8.7 psi).

ACCUMULATOR TANKS reduce pump cycling and eliminate pul- sations and water hammer. Water is separated from air chamber by a butyl diaphragm in a FDA compliant polypropylene reservoir. Pressurized water volume is approximately 35% of total tank capac- ity at 30 PSI. Mounts horizontally, vertically, or upside down. Install as close as possible to the pressure switch.The greater the volume, the longer the pump cycle. Tanks are pre-pressurized @ 40 PSI total volume and must be fine-tuned to 2 PSI below cut-in pressure of pump. Maximum working pressure 150 PSI. Use with fresh or salt water up to 200°F. Use on cold water side of hot water heaters to prevent “spilling" of relief valves.
